Status
- Weather: all green. Good riding.
- Traffic: degraded. Bus stops jammed with people heading home. Should recover on the day itself.
- AQI: climbing. Winter is pulling the blanket up.
- Occasion: Diwali. I don’t do fireworks. The neighbourhood does. My cat, already a scaredy-cat, was not consulted.
- Office: thinning out. Planned leaves, and suspiciously well-timed sick days.
Work
Month-end. The Claude tokens are use-it-or-lose-it, so I’m burning them on docs.
I maintain a Go framework. The developers who build on it don’t read it. Neither do their AI agents. So the feature requests keep coming: turn this niche Kafka config into an env var. Meanwhile withConfig() sits right there, unused. Env parity across Kafka, Event Hubs and GCP is the thing I’m protecting.
Next: a skill for the framework’s consumers, built on those docs. If nobody reads the framework, at least their agents will.
Riding
The bike is back after 90 days at the service centre. In between: a household scooter with itty-bitty wheels, and a lot of cabs. Bengaluru traffic is not for four-wheelers.
Turns out the bike is very capable. The left mirror falls off. CarPlay isn’t mounted. I ride every day anyway, and I’m grateful for it.
Pending: a 100–150 km morning ride. Just back from Kodai, so it can wait a bit.
On pause
My GitHub heatmap, since late July. Work runs past office hours. Also, honestly, me. Some evenings went to games. More went to doomscrolling.
In Kodai I stayed off Instagram and found a lot of time with myself. Killing the scroll on purpose now.
Goals
- Short-term: green squares again. Contribute to my own repos, finish the apps I already started, open-source the Claude skills I keep using.
- Long-term: get in shape for a friend’s wedding.
Playing
WWE 2K27. Roman Reigns is brutal. I’ve beaten him with Undertaker, CM Punk and The Rock. Now trying with Rey Mysterio. The size difference is funny. Mission still on.
Age of Empires skirmish this weekend. Other games are installed. I’m not getting into a story mode right now.

- For work: Mangal Rang, from Ramayana. Been echoing since the first listen.
- For the heart: still “Damage”. Linkin Park’s Faint × Slipknot × Eminem.

- Toggling between The Most Wanted Parfum and BDC, depending on the morning weather.
